Global Load Balancing

  • Key Technology Assures Optimum Content Delivery Path
  • Global Load Balancing (GLB) is the technology that identifies the location of each Internet user and connects them to the closest server. This delights end-users with reliable content delivery at blazing fast speeds. With GLB, location identification is determined based either on the user’s Local DNS (LDNS) data, or their actual IP address. CDNetworks uses both methods, applying whichever service best meets the needs of the customer.

  • Key GLB technology assures optimum content delivery path
  • - Upon the Internet user’s content request, CDNetworks GLB checks the user’s location (DNS and IP) and
      performs Global Load Balancing
    - Performance is improved through the reduction in response time, by handling the request in ISP N/W
    - GLB prevents certain ISP or server problems, or overflow, through distributed server processing
