Samuel Ko, Founder, CEO and Chairman, CDNetworks Worldwide
Samuel Ko, CEO and Chairman of CDNetworks, founded CDNetworks in 2000 when he recognized the need for a neutral third party, separate from the telecommunications providers, to provide a better way of delivering content over the Internet. In June 2005, Ko led the company to a public listing on the KOSDAQ (Korea's NASDAQ equivalent) while opening full subsidiaries in Japan, China and the United States. Ko continues to lead the CDNetworks team on its path to global leadership in the content delivery network and advanced data center solutions sectors, and is a recognized figure in the Asian Internet and global content delivery sector.
Junho Choi, Chief Technology Officer, CDNetworks Worldwide
Junho Choi is CTO of CDNetworks worldwide and is responsible for all technical research and development activities for the firm. A renowned Linux developer, Junho developed the critical algorithms that currently power the CDNetworks' network. Junho has worked in the content delivery network sector since the industry first began and has experience in service operations in Korea, Japan and the US. Prior to joining CDNetworks, Junho worked for Web Data Bank developing localized Linux distribution and many key solutions for CDN service in Korea. Junho has also worked for Intz Community. Junho is an advocate of FreeBSD, participating in many open source projects and is a first FreeBSD committer (ports) in Korea. Junho holds a Masters of Computer Science degree from Seoul National University, Korea and a Bachelor of Computer Science and Statistics degree from the same school.
Steve W. Chung, CSO and EVP Global Markets, CDNetworks Worldwide
Steve W. Chung is Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President of Global Markets for CDNetworks. As a leader on CDNetworks' executive team, Steve is responsible for setting overall corporate strategy and overseeing the company's global sales and operations efforts. He was most recently Vice President of Business Development for CDNetworks US and a venture capitalist at BlueRun Ventures, a $1 billion early-stage technology investment fund in Silicon Valley. Prior to this, Steve was COO of Pan Media Corporation in Beijing. He also served as a financial analyst for Goldman Sachs in New York and has provided management and government-sector consulting in New York, Washington D.C. and London. Steve received his A.B. (magna cum laude) from Harvard University, and his M.B.A. from Stanford University.
Simon Lee, Chief Executive Officer, CDNetworks US
Simon Lee was named CEO of the CDNetworks US subsidiary in 2006 and has led its aggressive US deployment and expansion. Simon brings a broad range of leadership experience in international roles at high-growth global companies including: leader for international marketing and business development for Samsung; analyst for MCI Telecommunications; and Asian business development for Qwest Communications. Simon's experience also includes work at Microsoft in business consulting, both in New York and in Seoul. He received his Masters of Science in Telecom from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Robert J. Gribnau, Vice President of Sales, CDNetworks US and Europe
Robert Gribnau is the Vice President of Sales for CDNetworks US and Europe. Prior to joining CDNetworks, Robert served in leadership positions with several leading high-tech companies. Originally from Europe, Robert started his professional career at Microsoft Europe in Business Development for Microsoft's Communications Business Unit. In 2003, Robert moved to the United States and joined Speedera Networks in a sales leadership position and managed Speedera's international expansion. After Akamai's acquisition of Speedera Networks, Robert joined Internap as the Vice President and General Manager for its newly acquired CDN business. Robert received his university education in general business from the Rotterdam School of Economics, The Netherlands, Europe.
John J. Kang, Vice President of Business Development, CDNetworks US
John Kang is Vice President of Business Development for CDNetworks US. John's 18 years of experience in cable, media, telecommunications, and management consulting serve as a foundation for creating business deals in various industries and vertical markets. Before joining CDNetworks, John was General Manager of the Digital Solutions Center US for Samsung Electronics. Prior to this, he held several key business development positions at Samsung in the Telecommunications and Digital Media divisions. John has also worked for PA Consulting (formerly Hagler Bailly), the Disney Channel, and AT&T. He holds a Masters of Management degree from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Harvey Mudd College.
Sarah Willis, Vice President Marketing, CDNetworks US and Europe
Sarah Willis is Vice President of Marketing for CDNetworks US and Europe. Sarah brings over 20 years of expertise in both B2B and B2C marketing. Her experience encompasses consumer products, technology, networking and hosting products and services. Before joining CDNetworks, Sarah was Director of Marketing for Internap and VitalStream (acquired by Internap) with comprehensive responsibility of all marketing initiatives. Sarah also served in a variety of channel sales and marketing roles during her tenure with NTT/Verio. Prior to this, she was the VP of Marketing for a consumer products marketing company, Mass Connections. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Statistics from Northern Arizona University.
Frances Mann-Craik, Vice President Communications, CDNetworks US and Europe
Frances Mann-Craik is Vice President of Communications for CDNetworks US and Europe. She adds a wealth of executive marketing expertise from her work at high-growth, high-tech companies in the Silicon Valley and Europe, including: Hewlett-Packard, Sierra On-line, Convergent Technologies/Unisys, Axil Computer (a division on Hyundai), and Oracle. She was a member of the founding teams of Amsterdam-based media company Tornado-Insider, for which she continues to be a contributing writer, and its sister company GorillaPark, a high-tech incubator. Frances holds a Business degree from Menlo College School of Business Administration.
